I am looking for a opensource/free software package for a small business, which will log all of the information of the customers (under 20), and then use other information pages for products, so I can track incoming goods, match them to their customers, and then print an invoice of their order, so it is ready to send off.

Looking for cheap or free inventory software?? I have a small business with about 500 total items. I would like find a software where I can input my how much I have of each item and when I sell each item be able to scan that item and have it subtracted from my inventory. What is a good, simple point of sale software? I'm starting up a small business; I will be making sales over the phone of a single product. And, I need a very basic point of sale system. Essentially I need the program to do a few things: Process credit cards, take down customer information (i.e. name, billing/shipping address), account for taxes, and print invoices (maybe also print labels). Accounting for total Dummies / Quotation and Invoice Templates for my business? I need to keep track of my expenses, especially as I'm having building work done so need to keep track of all expenditure incl method of payment - eg, Cash, Internet Banking etc. I am totally useless with figures and MS Excel is way way way past my abilities. How can there be sales tax on s/h? I have noticed that some websites that offer free products (in this case software) through the mail charge a s/h fee which is understandable but sometimes, even though not a single penny is being paid for the "product" and just for s/h... I still get charged a sales tax. Is this ok practice for the company to charge sales tax on s/h when the invoice clearly states that the "product" is free?

business management software? I have a very small home-based business that has grown to the point where I need some organizational tools beyond pen and paper. Is there an opensource software like quickbase based on PHP and Mysql? Im looking for a customizeable form based databse that is web based. I want to host it myself. and i want it to be free. It would be nice if it had its own built in interface to authorize.net to charge a customer. I looked into quickbase but its too expensive and not quite what im looking for. I run a computer repair company and i want this php app to be able to generate an invoice, log phone calls, and charge the customers credit card. I want it also to interact with asterisk, in that when a call comes in and a rep answers it, asterisk fills in the phone number. I dont know programming so i couldnt write it. plus i want it to have a good interface and have things like "pending review" and "Processing" like make you think its grinding away at php

where can I get a free copy of Microsoft works 2004 or better for windows xp? I had to replace the motherboard, memory, and floppy in my dell computer recently. It required a complete reformat... which would not have been so bad if dell had sent me disk for ALL my original software. Sadly that disk was missing and when I called to ask them to send it to me, they said it was obsolete and there was no way to get it to me. My business invoices were all in that format and now I can't access them! I have tried to see if they were compatible with similar programs and they just aren't. HELP! I tried open office and it wouldn't do it. :-( But thanks for the suggestion.
